Implementing Shopify B2B

When a client asked me to explore Shopify’s new B2B functionality, I was curious to see how far it could go. What I found was a platform with a lot of potential—impressive in many ways, but still with room to grow.

Some features are clearly missing, like a proper PDF catalog, a smoother client connection system, and more complete API schemas. Despite these gaps, I saw a solid foundation to build on.

For this project, I worked closely with the client’s team to customize a theme, integrate their workflows, and enable them to manage B2B orders seamlessly, from direct sales right through to factory operations.

The result? A system that works today—and one that will only get better as Shopify continues to expand its B2B capabilities. I believe it’s just the beginning, and in the near future, B2B clients will be able to fully enjoy a streamlined, end-to-end experience.
